18U/Midget Division – co-ed & open to players turning 16, 17 & 18 in 2024.
We offer 18UAA, which is considered a ‘house’ division. All players bat through the order. Home park for this Division is Queens Park Stadium. The playing field for this division is a regulation baseball field with 90 foot base paths and 60 feet 6 inches distance from the rubber to home plate. With some minor exceptions for substitutions, teams at this level play according to the regular rules of baseball. A regulation game is 7 innings. Spring season runs end of March through mid June and ends with Interlock playoffs. Summer season runs end of June to August, with the potential to go further to Provincials and Westerns.
The 18UAA/Midget Division is merged with South Burnaby Metro Club (SBMC) Baseball. Any player living in either of the New Westminster or South Burnaby BC Minor boundaries can register with and play out of Diamondsides Baseball (Queens Park stadium), without requiring a player release. - ALL bats must be stamped BBCOR: max -3 weight to length ratio, composite, aluminum or wood combination
- Baseball pants (white) & belt (color at coaches’ discretion)
- Jersey (provided by the league and returned at the end of the season)
- Hat (provided by the league)
